  • 1.Note for chromosome and position co lumns BioCircos2 online
  • 2.BioCircos2 preset several modules here, once you select one you must notice the genome information below, such as gene_EGFR like this. Or hg19 like this
  • 3.Please pay a very attention to this third column, which is the length of current genome. If there is only one row, like gene_EGFR. Then EGFR’s relative length is a whole circle, while its real length is 1211.
  • 4.Hg19 contains 24 rows, so the whole circle will be divided into 24 parts based on its real length, which presents the relative length for each chromosome.
  • 5.This is our SNP example file, each row is a SNP, which contains chr and pos columns. BioCircos2 will assign each SNP to its relative position on its chromosome based on the position provided here, which means if the chromosome’s real length provided in step1 is 1000, the position of SNP from this chromosome should between 1-1000.
  • 6.Since we’ve introduce the importance of chromosome’s name and length, Please make sure that the name of chromosome you submit at step1 match the one you submit at step2 and the position of each row you submit at step2 should within the area of corresponding chromosome. For example, if you select gene_EGFR at step1, you can not upload SNP example file as your input because they have different names and the pos outreach the maximum length of 1211.
